Lucie
and Darren were married in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. They
were joined by over 20 members of their friends and family who made the
journey from England to share the occasion.
Before the ceremony the bridal
party went to the beauty salon in the Excalibur Hotel to have their hair
styled and make-up applied. The results were excellent and they all looked
beautiful as the pictures elsewhere on this site will show. The men had less
work to do but appeared smart and sharp in dinner jackets with custom made
bow ties and matching flowers for their button holes. Polished and debonair
they made their way to the Mandalay Bay.
The bride and groom each had their own dressing rooms richly decorated in
dark wood with all the facilities necessary to dress, preen and prepare for
the most important day in their lives together.
After the initial preparations the groom, best man and bridesmaid entered
followed by the bride accompanied by her father who wore a broad smile as he
walked his daughter down the aisle. The ceremony went without a hitch, the
celebrant leading the proceedings with sensitivity and professionalism,
choosing words which echoed the importance of the occasion and the
implications of two people dedicating their lives to each other.
After drinks in the Island Bar the party went to the Trattoria Del Lupo
for the reception where speeches were made, excellent food eaten, wine
enjoyed and pictures taken. When everyone had enjoyed their fill and each
other's company the bride and groom went off to enjoy two nights in the
honeymoon suite before flying off to San Francisco for to enjoy their first
ten days of married life together.
But this was not the end of it because upon their return the bride and
groom hosted another reception at Cheam School, Headley, Berkshire for all
their friends and family who were unable to travel to Las Vegas. |
